B2B Marketing Agency for Long Sales Cycles

Strategic Pete is a B2B marketing agency for companies with a long sales cycle and several people in the room. Strategy, demand generation and video come out of one team, so the story your buyers meet in a campaign is the story they meet on a sales call.

The offer

Your CFO wants revenue. Your team wants to test more channels. You just want proof marketing works.

We find the single constraint blocking revenue & fix it. No new platforms. No six-month rebuild. Just one broken system, repaired.

Book a qualification call30 minutes. No deck. No “strategy session.”

Capabilities

What we run, and what we don’t

Eight things sit on the shelf. Almost nobody buys all eight, and we do not run all eight every month.

Account-based marketing

When the account list is short enough to name out loud.

Demand generation

The part that runs every week, not the campaign that arrives and leaves.

Content and editorial

B2B content marketing built from one argument, not from a topic calendar.

Marketing technology

Audited first: what you pay for, and what actually fires.

Paid media

Chosen because your buyer is already there, not because the channel is cheap.

Documentary and brand film

The same discovery that shapes the campaign shapes the film.

Podcast and earned media

How a forgotten name became one its buyers recognised.

Trade shows and events

Where a six-month sale usually actually starts.

The constraint decides what runs. An agency that opens by telling you which channels it will run has skipped the only part that matters.

Strategy

B2B marketing strategy that survives contact with a sales call

Most strategy documents describe the market. The useful ones describe the deal — who signs, what they were nervous about, and the objection that quietly ends conversations.

Ours is three pieces of work, and it takes about three weeks.

i

How the money actually moves

Where revenue comes from today, which segment carries the margin, and which one your team thinks carries it. These are often different, and the gap is usually where the constraint is hiding.

ii

Closed-won and closed-lost, read properly

We read the deals you won and the deals you lost, sit in on sales calls, and talk to the reps who lose them. That is a different document from a persona deck, and it is the one the campaign gets built from.

iii

The gap on the shelf

What your competitors all claim, said in their own words, so we can find the argument none of them are making. On a search results page where every agency says it drives revenue, the gap is usually specificity.

Demand generation

B2B Demand Generation That Fills a Real Pipeline

Most B2B demand generation stalls because the campaign and the story are built by different people. We run both.

Strategy, creative and distribution come out of one team, so the message a buyer meets in an ad is the message they meet on a sales call. That is what a B2B marketing agency should be for. Our work starts with what your buyers already believe, not with a channel plan — and the same discovery that shapes a campaign shapes the film, the sales deck and the follow-up.

If you are still deciding whether you need an agency or an individual, our guide to what B2B marketing consultants actually do is the honest comparison.

It runs in five stages, in this order

Demand generation is the part of this agency that runs every week, not the part that arrives as a campaign and leaves. We do not skip ahead to distribution because a channel is having a moment.

1

Agree the number first

Before anything gets built we agree the number the work is accountable for: pipeline created, sales-qualified leads per week, or revenue by segment. If nobody in the room can name that number, we say so and we do not start. It is the number the ninety-day plan is measured against later, so it is worth an argument on day one.

2

Find the buyer, not the persona

We read your closed-won and closed-lost, sit in on sales calls, and talk to the reps who lose the deals. What comes back is who actually signs, what they were nervous about, and the objection that quietly ends conversations.

3

Build from what your buyers already believe

One discovery shapes the campaign, the film, the sales deck and the follow-up email, so a buyer meets one argument in four places instead of four arguments in four places. This is where “one team” stops being a positioning line and starts being a cost you do not pay twice.

4

Distribute where the buyer already is

Podcasts, trade shows, earned media, paid social, email and search — chosen because your buyer is already there, not because the channel is cheap. For a SaaS company in long-term care that meant podcasts and trade shows, and it produced a 100× increase in lead generation.

5

Report against the number, monthly

Every month you get the number from stage one, what moved it, and what did not. No dashboard nobody opens. If a channel is not paying for itself, you hear it in the meeting where we could have left it out.

That sequence is what we mean when we call ourselves a B2B demand generation agency. One team owns the number, and the same team owns the story, the campaign and the reporting that follows it.

What you are actually buying

The first ninety days

Every agency page describes capabilities. Almost none of them describe what the first quarter feels like from your side of the table. Here is ours, and it is the plan the retainer is measured against.

Days 1–14

Agree the number, then go looking

  • The number the work is accountable for, written down and signed off
  • Closed-won and closed-lost read; three to five sales calls sat in on
  • Competitor claims collected in their own words
  • Marketing technology audited — what you pay for, what actually fires

You get: a one-page constraint memo naming the single thing blocking revenue, and what it will take to fix it.

Days 15–45

Build the argument once, use it everywhere

  • One core argument, drawn from what your buyers already believe
  • The campaign, the film treatment, the sales deck and the follow-up all built from it
  • Account-based targeting where the account list is short enough to name
  • Distribution chosen from where your buyer already is, not from a channel menu

You get: campaign live, first assets shipped, and a sales team using the same words the campaign uses.

Days 46–90

Report against the number, cut what is not paying

  • Monthly review against the day-one number, with you in the room
  • Channels that are not paying for themselves named and stopped
  • Nurture and lifecycle sequences built for the deals that stalled
  • A ninety-day verdict: continue, change shape, or stop

You get: the number, what moved it, what did not — and an honest recommendation, including “you do not need us for the next part.”

Three engagements, three published numbers

Where we have run this before

Who we work with

We are not a generalist agency. Below is where we have run this before — markets where the sale takes months and several people have to agree before anything is signed.

Healthcare and senior living

Long-term care operators, senior living communities, and the software companies that serve them. We know the trade press, the conferences and the shape of the buying committee.

Published outcomeAn EHR software client’s demo requests accelerated 40% within two months of front-page placements in McKnight’s Long-Term Care News.

Two pages go deeper here: senior living marketing agency for operators, and B2B healthcare marketing agency for companies selling into them.

B2B SaaS

Software companies well past product-market fit whose growth has stalled at the top of the funnel.

Published outcomeA 100× increase in lead generation for a long-term care SaaS company, and 15 sales-qualified leads a week.

Nonprofits and associations

Associations that have to sell the same idea to members, funders and legislators at once.

Published outcomeThe documentary funded by the Nebraska Health Care Association reached 80,000+ views in six months, earned national Smart TV distribution, and was used in advocacy work that helped secure Medicaid funding.

Manufacturing and industrial

Long specification cycles, technical buyers, and a distributor sitting between you and the person who uses the product.

No published outcomeAsk us on the call what we have run here — we would rather tell you straight than publish a claim we cannot show you.

Three shapes, no package menu

Choose the situation you’re in

Every company hits different problems at different stages. There is no package menu here because the work is not interchangeable — but there are three shapes, and if you don’t meet the requirements we’ll tell you upfront rather than sell you the nearest one.

Make $

Recovering lost revenue

You’re already selling, but you’re leaving money on the table. You have customers, leads, and traffic, but revenue should be higher.

Requirements to qualify

  • You are already making sales
  • The product or service is proven

This is about turning what you already have into more cash, quickly.

Find $

Predictable pipeline

You need more demand, built properly. You want sustainable growth without random activity or unproven marketing tricks.

Requirements to qualify

  • You have a large email list >5k
  • Or engaged audience

No audience means no leverage. We don’t force it if the leverage isn’t there.

Retainer

Ongoing oversight

You want consistency, discipline, and fewer bad decisions. Someone focused on performance, not just generating new ideas.

Requirements to qualify

  • Direct access to the CEO
  • Commitment to a 90-day KPI plan
  • Monthly ROI reviews

Not a fractional CMO. This is agency oversight to keep systems working.

Qualification

Where we’re the right answer, and where we’re not

This is a good fit if…

  • You care about revenue, not marketing trends
  • You want someone who talks in ROI, not “brand awareness”
  • You’d rather fix one thing properly than try 10 things badly
  • You’re tired of agencies that deliver decks instead of dollars

Not a fit if…

  • You want “everything done at once”
  • You want ideas without financial accountability
  • You’re still figuring out product-market fit
  • You need someone to “own marketing” full-time

The three-way comparison

Agency, freelancer, or your first marketing hire

Most companies land on this page while comparing three options. Here is the honest version, including where we are the wrong answer.

Three ways to buy B2B marketing
OptionBest whenWhere it breaks
A freelancer or consultantYou know exactly what is broken and need one pair of hands to fix it.Strategy, creative and distribution end up in three heads, and the buyer meets three different arguments.
Your first in-house marketerYou have twelve months and want the knowledge to stay in the building. One person cannot be a strategist, a writer, a media buyer and an editor. Something gets dropped, usually the story.
An agency like usThe sale takes months, several people have to agree, and the campaign and the story have to say the same thing. If you want everything done at once, or you are still finding product-market fit, we are not it — and we will say so on the call.

If you are still weighing an agency against an individual, our breakdown of what B2B marketing consultants actually do is the longer comparison.

The questions the search results are already asking

Straight answers before the call

These are the questions Google surfaces above half the results for “B2B marketing agency.” Here they are answered without a form in the way.

Live PAA · b2b marketing agency

What do B2B marketing agencies do?

In our case: agree the revenue number, work out what is blocking it, and run the campaign, content, film and reporting that move it. Not all of that every month — the constraint decides what runs. An agency that starts by telling you which channels it will run has skipped the only part that matters.

Live PAA · on all three target SERPs

How much does a B2B agency typically cost?

We say the number out loud on the qualification call rather than after a proposal, because a price you have to sit through a deck to hear is a price we are nervous about. What sets it is shape, not size: a bounded fix on one broken system costs a fraction of an ongoing retainer with monthly reporting and direct CEO access. If the fix is small, we say so and charge for a small fix.

Live PAA · b2b marketing services

What are the four main types of B2B marketing?

The usual four are content marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing and events. It is a fine way to organise a services page and a poor way to choose. The four we actually sort by are: what your buyers already believe, where they already are, who has to agree before anything is signed, and which one of those is currently the constraint. The first list tells you what an agency sells. The second tells you what to buy.

Is hiring an agency better than hiring in-house?

Not always, and we will say so. If you have twelve months and want the knowledge to stay in the building, hire. If the sale takes months, several people have to agree, and the campaign and the story have to say the same thing, one in-house hire cannot cover it — strategist, writer, media buyer and editor is four jobs.

How long before it works?

You get a written constraint memo inside two weeks and a live campaign inside six. The number from stage one is reviewed monthly, and at ninety days we give a verdict — continue, change shape, or stop. Anyone promising pipeline in thirty days on a sale that takes six months is selling you activity.

Do you only work with B2B companies?

No. Strategic Pete runs two halves. This is the one for companies selling to other businesses. If your customers are consumers — home services, attractions, funeral homes, schools — go straight to the B2C marketing agency page, or start at the agency page and take the other route.

What if we do not qualify?

We tell you on the call, and we tell you what we would do instead. Roughly half the calls we take end that way. It is a cheaper thirty minutes for both of us than a proposal neither side believes in.
