Peter Murphy Lewis is honored to have his docuseries People Worth Caring About highlighted in I Advance Senior Care. This series brings attention to the hard work and dedication of caregivers in Nebraska’s nursing homes and assisted living communities, a subject close to Peter’s heart after his personal experience working as a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA).

“I wanted to tell the real story of caregivers—the ones who show up every day with passion and commitment,” Peter explains. “They’re the silent heroes who need to be celebrated.”

Real Stories, Real Impact

People Worth Caring About features seven episodes filmed across award-winning facilities in Nebraska, with more states coming soon. The series highlights the resilience of caregivers, many of whom found fulfillment in their roles despite the challenges of COVID-19.

“What struck me most was how many caregivers were actively encouraging others to join the profession—they really believe in the work they do,” Peter says.

The series has already shifted public perception of caregiving. Peter hopes to inspire younger generations to consider caregiving as a meaningful career, not just a job. “Caregiving is not just about care—it’s about making a real difference in someone’s life,” he adds.

Expanding the Journey

People Worth Caring About is already making an impact, and Peter is thrilled to continue the journey. New episodes have been filmed in Ohio and New Mexico, with plans to expand to additional states in 2025. The Ohio edition of the docuseries will premiere on May 7, during Peter’s live keynote at the OHCA convention, where he’ll share stories from his time filming and working across 100 jobs.

The series will eventually make its way to Amazon Prime, with more episodes to follow.

Additionally, Peter has developed educational workbooks aimed at engaging students, seniors, and HR professionals to inspire more people to enter the caregiving field.

A Thank You to I Advance Senior Care and Paige Cerulli!

Peter extends his thanks to I Advance Senior Care and author Paige Cerulli for featuring People Worth Caring About. “It’s incredible to see the response and know that we’re shedding light on the importance of caregivers,” says Peter.
